WHAT TO EXPECT
Product Marketing is responsible for delivering the carline market equation and in doing so ensuring that the voice of the market is reflected in the product creation & in-cycle management process for current and future carlines. The team manages the strategic whole life plan of each model, product content, market offer, pricing, and supports the launch process.
This is a crucial, high profile role within the Defender Product & Services team and requires the ability to represent the Commercial function in pro-actively driving the business to ensure the customer, Defender brand and business needs are appropriately balanced to ensure business success.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Data analysis of market research, competitors, and technologies to support business case discussions
- Support preparation of marketing input to Programme Gateways, Launch Management Meetings (LMM), Programme Agile Cadence, Design forums, and other cross functional meetings
- Support Product Manager in development of initial customer offer
- Support Product, Price, Volume and Mix Reviews (PPVMRs), including preparation of presentations
- Support L463 Whole Life Plan Management for the car line
- Co-ordinate market requests for product changes and progress with the Programme or relevant teams
- Maintain vehicle specification documents including OXO charts and change documents
- Support the launch planning process including creation of Product Briefs and reviewing of customer facing communications (e.g. configurator / eBrochure content)
- Prepare, with opportunity to present, product presentations, support product days and present product plans to internal and external audiences as appropriate
- Act as the subject matter expert for the product and provide the voice of the customer including the responsibility of ensuring Product Correctness in briefing materials, and later towards launch in customer facing materials
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the Product Analyst, you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Strong analytical skills & attention to details
- Self-starter
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel advanced user proficiency
- Driver’s license
