Experienced Social Media Executive

Fully remote

£25,000 - £30,000 (DOE)

Monday - Friday: 9.00 - 17.30

About us:

Founded in 2019, we’re on a mission to bring ultrafast full fibre internet to our customers. Guided by the principles of flawless customer support, fair contracts, and affordable pricing, YouFibre brings the full fibre experience to your home or office to create the best internet experience possible. We are growing rapidly and reached the milestone of 20,000 connected customers in December 2022, which is planned to grow significantly during 2023.

The main purpose for our Social Media Executive:

The ideal candidate will bring creative ideas and a big personality, with a proven ability to work remotely as part of a small team. The main purpose of this role is to take ownership of all organic YouFibre social media accounts, building and delivering a content calendar aligned to business priorities, growing our following exponentially and helping to respond to customer queries across multiple digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms, possess fantastic communication skills and bring a strong sense of humour to the table. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the ambitious growth of YouFibre, helping us to reach our target audience through social media channels. So, if you’ve got big ideas that match our aspirations, then this job might just be the one for you.

As YouFibres Social Media Executive, your key responsibilities are:

  • Support the development of a forward-looking social media strategy for YouFibre, identifying the appropriate channels to best reach our key target audiences with the right messages.
  • Develop and manage YouFibre’s organic (not paid for) social media channels – currently Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn – in line with business activity, building a content plan and delivering against the campaign calendar.
  • Suggest and lead incremental development ideas for expanding YouFibre’s social media presence onto new social media platforms.
  • Provide regular reporting on social media activity and progress against defined KPI’s. Analyse organic social media campaigns to gather data to inform future campaign improvement.
  • Take responsibility for responding to customer comments to social media posts, working closely with the Customer Services team.
  • Monitor and report on competitor social media activity.
  • Provide basic copywriting support for website content development, including blogs, news stories and website content updates.
  • Manage YouFibre’s presence on digital review platforms such as Google reviews, Trustpilot and Facebook, regularly looking at ways to improve scores.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders, Marketing colleagues and senior managers, supporting each other and understanding needs/requirements in relation to social media activity, including upcoming product releases, marketing campaigns or other brand messages.
  • Work with creative agencies and designers to deliver an integrated content strategy.
  • Ensure effective budget control, where appropriate, always remaining under customer acquisition cost & marketing acquisition cost, as defined by Finance
  • Build a deep understanding of YouFibre’s target audiences, creating key insights, and using the lessons to generate clear actions to drive growth
  • Where possible, take a data-centric approach, reporting on any ROI and identifying opportunities to increase new customer orders, with both existing and new market segments.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience managing business social media channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including copywriting
  • Strong stakeholder and customer management skills, a commercial mindset, and an ability to work cross-functionally
  • An interest in, and knowledge about technology, and start-ups
  • Ability to drive a strategic approach, whilst being able to roll up your sleeves and be hands on
  • A creative flair coupled with a data-driven, scientific approach to marketing
  • A start-up mentality – a relationship builder, flexible, dedicated, and hardworking
  • A self-starter, with an ability to work remotely

Benefits:

  • Up to £30k depending on experience
  • IT equipment provided
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Enrolment in company share scheme
  • Enrolment in to pension scheme
  • Remote working with flexibility
