Catering Assistant
YMCA Bournemouth are looking for two part-time catering assistants to join our small but well led and happy catering team for our hostel accommodation in central Bournemouth.
The work will consist of assisting the Head Chef / Cook and Catering Assistant with the preparation and service of breakfast, lunches and dinners for staff and up to 73 residents at our Westover Road site and clearing down afterwards.
Full training and support will be given, no previous experience is required but will be an advantage. Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or a willingness to get this is essential.
Ability to help with putting food deliveries away is needed.

The available vacancy is 16-20 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday (actual shifts to be arranged between Head Chef and Facilities Team Leader).
Salary Grade 1 : £19,760.00 per annum, pro rata.

The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk they may come across using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA safeguarding policy and Pan Dorset statutory guidance.
YMCA Bournemouth undertakes to pay all staff aged 21 and over at least the National Living Wage. Employment will be subject to satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
