Head of Control Tower

Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Head of Control Tower to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Gotham site, working for our customer – Saint Gobain Interior Solutions (working hours Monday – Friday 40 hours per week).

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• 
  Integrate the Central planning function
• Maximise the integrated use of the SGIS Network
• Reduce subcon spend in line with budget
• Increase gain share in excess of the budgeted minimum
• Ensure successful deployment of an optimisation tool
• Work closely with the GM as a second in command

There is an expectation that the following objectives will be reached in year one:

• 
  Reduction in Subcontracted cost per load to budget
• Increase in Back Haul revenue and gainshare above the minimum budgeted figure
• Cost reduction or replacement of Celotex Sub contraction
• Implementation of optimisation across the whole SGIS Network
• Become second in command to the GM

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• 
  Evidence of operational management experience
• Be entrepreneurial – must be able to run the network like their own business
• Have excellent planning knowledge – must be able to pull a plan to pieces and spot the inefficiencies
• Have excellent knowledge of planning tools (WTS or Paragon)
• Be able to build and develop a team
• Effectively communicate with all staff & stakeholders
• Inspires confidence and respect
