Multi-skilled Maintenance Fitter

Wyman-Gordon is a world leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace and energy sectors. Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and products. Our plant in Livingston is a self-contained design and manufacturing operation.

We currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Maintenance fitter who will support the Maintenance team in achieving our overall business objectives. Applicants must be time served in a Mechanical Engineering discipline and an HNC in an Engineering related subject is desirable.

Applicants must be self-motivated and can manage a varied and demanding workload. You must have a proven record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings. You must also be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces, as well as having basic IT skills together with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior industry experience in mechanical maintenance covering Breakdowns and preventatives maintenance activities on manufacturing plant and electrician destitution and utilising systems.

Knowledge and Experience

Work Experience in heavy engineering environment

Knowledge of High voltage distribution on systems also desirable

Ability to read electrical schematic drawings

Ability to fault find on electrical equipment

Ability to work at heights and enclosed spaces

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £34,846.56-£35,566.42 per year
