Our picturesque Holiday Park is located between Glasgow and Stirling near the Campsie Fells, offering a range of accommodation and facilities for our owners and guests to enjoy. Out Bar & Bistro is the ‘heart’ of the Holiday Park, which is open at the weekends from March to the end of November, increasing to five days a week during school holidays. Our guests can enjoy a meal from our Bistro, a takeaway or a relaxed drink after an afternoon dip in our swimming pool or hot tubs.

Our Holiday Park offers facilities to our owners, holiday home guests and our touring families who can visit throughout the year. There is a great atmosphere across the park with families and friends enjoying the great outdoors year-round, especially in our new outdoor patio area.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Chef to become part of the Campsie Glen team. Main duties would include:

· Assisting the Chef to prepare and present food, quickly, efficiently and to a high standard

· Providing support to the Chef by completing any preparation required for the smooth running of the kitchen

· Assisting the Chef to ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, current food standards/hygiene and completing relevant paperwork in an efficient and timely manner including daily temperature checks as per the Cook Safe manual

· Following proper procedures regarding storage, washing, refrigeration, freezing, production, serving and refuse disposal

· Keeping the kitchen, clean, tidy and safe at all times

· Assisting with the washing of dishes, pots & kitchen equipment and ensuring proper storage

· Cleaning of kitchen areas such as cookers/ovens etc;

· Assisting the Chef to keep wastage to a minimum, through correct product measurement and record keeping.

This is a seasonal contract with the position coming to an end at the end of November (approximately 7months). The hours will vary across the season, ranging from 20 hours per week in the quieter months and between 35-45 hours per week in the school holidays and summer months, with more hours offered depending on business needs (Bar & Bistro closed Tuesday & Wednesday at peak times, this is a predominantly weekend focused role).

We offer a two-bedroom caravan holiday home which can be private or shared with a friend/partner who may also wish to join our Campsie Glen team in the Bar/Bistro. Our accommodation is rent free, with utilities paid monthly and an 'on call' payment for Warden duty cover a walk round and any emergencies on park in the evenings.

On completion of the full season, an end of season bonus will apply.
