The Role:

As a Resident Advocate you can make your own powerful contribution to the lives of Council residents. You’ll be their champion, making sure their voice gets heard on a wide range of matters. It’s a varied and very visible role, doing work that really makes a difference to community cohesion and quality of life.

Whether you’re capturing residents’ views on major works, hosting events, or working with colleagues across Growth, Planning and Housing to plan consultation programmes, you’ll be instrumental to making sure tenants and leaseholders can help to shape the future of their homes and their communities.

We’ll look to you to manage a full range of communication and engagement activities, including written material, digital content and face-to-face engagement. Your varied responsibilities could see you building partnerships with partners to deliver projects for residents, and even seeking external funding.

About You:

A positive and proactive person with a relevant track record in a similar role, you’ll bring a range of skills and experience to this post. You have a proven ability to communicate with customers, identify and resolve problems, draft reports, support project or case management delivery, and help make change happen. Crucially, you’re highly organised, committed to excellent customer service, and a real team player.
