The West Brom are looking to recruit a full time Head of Marketing. This is a new role within the Marketing family and is here to help deliver the West Brom’s purpose-led strategy through development and delivery of the brand and marketing strategy.

The purpose of the role is to develop and implement a brand and marketing strategy and develop the marketing function to deliver it. The role combines strategic marketing thinking with commercial acumen and customer insight, and a strong ability to deliver through people. A full knowledge of the marketing mix is preferable, with experience in digital marketing, proposition development, retail/channel marketing, CRM and brand and comms highlight desirable. You will have worked with 3rd party agencies and be able to adapt ideas to the needs of a medium-sized business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a talented marketing team, inspiring passion and further developing an enriching working environment
• Developing the Society’s annual brand and marketing strategy. Particular focus on developing lifecycle, digital, social media and PR approaches
• Analyse customer insights through the CRM and ensure our customers are getting the best value through their life cycle
• Identify strategies to reach new market sectors in order to execute business growth (through acquisitions, brokers, innovative methodologies etc)
• Work closely across departments to identify opportunities for growth and lead generation processes
• Managing external partners, internal stakeholders and marketing agencies for key projects, products and services for strategic output.

Skills and Experience Required:

• A minimum of 8-10 years marketing experience
• Experience managing, leading and growing marketing teams
• Exposure of working in a B2B and B2Cenvironment
• Ideally knowledge across all areas of the marketing mix– Digital Marketing, Social Media, CRM, Data Insight, PR, Branding, Channel/retail
• A strategic and innovative thinker
• Experience of managing C-Suite level conversations and relationships
