About us:

How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal.

And we’re just getting started.

We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter.

To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.

About the team:

We’re looking for a driven storyteller with a knack for lead generation to join the high-performing speakers team as a Producer. This team is a central part of every event that we do, and gives a vision for our events through its choice of speakers and selection of agenda-setting content. The speakers team ensures people such as Al Gore, Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking, Margrethe Vestager and Jack Dorsey speak at our events as well as the world’s leading startups. In practice, this means that the team is able to identify the most relevant topics to discuss on a wide range of content stages, and select and obtain the best speakers in the world to come speak at our events.
Not accepting “good” speakers, but only acquiring “great” speakers, is a central creed of this team.

What you’ll achieve at Web Summit:

  • You’ll work with our media team to identify and help secure newsworthy moments that would be of interest to the international media attending our events.
  • You’ll acquire high-calibre speakers, and be confident in your dealings with them and their communication teams.

  • You are passionate about tech content and about developing relationships with influential figures within these industries.
  • You are someone who is driven and relentlessly looking to improve.
  • You understand how technology is changing the world and are passionate about finding interesting ways of showcasing this at events.
  • You actively drive change, as you’re able to influence your clients, colleagues and managers with little effort.
  • You are confident in your abilities to deal with communications teams and speakers, over the phone and in person.
  • You’re ambitious, and want to help shape an agenda that can have a worldwide impact.
  • You are naturally a quick learner.
  • You’re organised, confident and a risk-taker.
  • You’re a team player and someone who can lead by example.
  • You are competitive and enjoy selling an idea to someone.
  • You are someone who is ambitious, driven and relentlessly looking to improve.
  • You’re incredibly detail-oriented, always making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You have a knowledge of the Middle East region.

Skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • You are a fluent Arabic and English speaker.
  • You have experience in a media, sales or production role (ideally).
  • You can acquire and maintain high-level contacts across tech and businesses in the Middle East region.
  • You have experience in the events industry in any capacity is advantageous.
  • You already have a good knowledge of tech and extensive contacts among leading tech influencers.
  • You can identify the most relevant issues for our audience.
  • You can convince top names to speak at our events.
  • You’re able to get updated on new subject areas quickly, identifying key issues and targeting relevant speakers.
  • You understand Startups and can give examples of how technology is fundamentally changing the world, and you have a working knowledge of the tech industry.
  • You are driven to improve and you will never settle for second best.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Hybrid working model benefit open to all employees.
  • Fully subsidised healthcare, dental, employee assistance programme(EAP) and more.
  • A dedicated in house L&D department, with access to workshops, online learning and resources to help you excel in your career development.
  • Company laptop, generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
  • Our very own “Tramway team” who drive community and morale boosting events for employees to participate in.
  • Annual company get togethers, company charity days and monthly wellbeing talks.
