Marketing Executive Placement

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

CLOSING DATE: 28th March 2023

SALARY: £20,000, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, loan car scheme, pension and a discretionary bonus.

CONTRACT: June 2023- June 2024

The VWFS Marketing team works with some of the most recognisable automotive brands in the UK - Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini to produce marketing materials showing customers how they can obtain the car of their dreams.

Partnering closely with internal stakeholders, the Marketing team works across all mediums from traditional media including TV & Radio through to more specialist Digital channels. Never quiet and always challenging, if you are interested in a career in marketing it is a rewarding and exciting role to undertake during your placement year.

As a key member of the Marketing team you are sure to have the opportunity to gain and develop key skills and techniques that will prove to be valuable for your marketing career whether that be in the automotive industry or not.

What you will be doing:

• Manage the Digital Presence – from websites and social media to paid media campaigns, there are key responsibilities in ensuring we are putting our best foot forward on digital platforms
• Project Delivery – Create clear and concise briefs for marketing jobs. Project manage these through content creation, proof reading and stakeholder approval alongside agency and supplier management ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to budget
• Communications – prepare retailer facing communications, managing approval and publication
• Brand Support – Support the Marketing Managers in the delivery of their brand materials through being the corporate identity guardian and attending regular meetings with the brands and internal stakeholders across the VWFS business
• Stock Management – Proactively review stock reports for point of sale and merchandise. Assisting the team with reprints and artwork amends to ensure stock is always available
• General support - Work closely with the Marketing Managers to support on a variety of tasks from campaign reporting to presenting at meetings to get exposure to everything the team is responsible for

• You will be enrolled at a University which offers a 1 year industrial placement
• You will be studying towards a Business or Marketing related degree, with a proven record of academic success and an interest to pursue a career in marketing
• You are passionate to make a difference in everything you do, with a desire to improve yourself and learn everyday
• You will be able to communicate clearly with the business both verbally and in writing
• You take a creative and proactive approach to problem solving
• You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to deal with a variety of tasks
• You are inquisitive, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint with Adobe Photoshop knowledge as an advantage
