Our dog day care offers varied, interesting and satisfying work for someone who would like to work with dogs in our small team.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, hard working, has their own transport to get to work, is confident driving a van and most importantly loves dogs enough to be out in all weather come rain, snow or shine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the company vehicle to collect, transport and return several dogs safely to and from our dog daycare and their home
- Safely loading and unloading dogs into and out of the crates in the van.
- Excellent customer service skills when talking to our customers at pick up and drop off
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the Centre and company van, clearing up and cleaning regularly
- Walking the dogs in groups within our secure fields
- Washing dogs and drying dogs to ensure they are returned home clean
- Being observant and reporting to management any signs of illness or behaviour problems
- Preparing food and feeding the dogs who require lunch
- Always working on self improvement and increasing canine knowledge
- Making sure you are dressed appropriately for changing weather conditions
- Using the company card to purchase fuel for the vehicle
Ideal candidate:
- Be available and flexible to cover regular shifts within the core business hours of 8am-6pm Monday-Friday
- Enjoy dogs company and be comfortable handling dogs
- Ideally have at least 5 years driving experience and a clean UK driving licence
- Be confident in working as a regular driver at all times of day.
- Be happy working outdoors, in all weather
- Can demonstrate that you can deliver great customer service
- Be well presented, well spoken with good English and communication skills
- Demonstrate that you are reliable and trustworthy
- Must be happy to have a DBS and references check
