THE POST

Working within the Campus Services directorate based at the University of the West of Scotland’s Paisley Campus you will participate in the day-to-day programme of cleaning services to ensure that the campus facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and hygienic condition. You will be part of a professional support service and work alongside a friendly team.


The successful candidate should have the following:


  • No formal qualification is required, however, previous experience working within a commercial / industrial cleaning environment would be desirable
  • A basic understanding of health and safety requirements within the workplace as training will be provided
  • Ability to demonstrate working in a customer focused role with an emphasis on providing quality service

Hours of duty are as follows:


  • 10 x 16 Hours fixed term posts until February 2024 – Monday (6:00am to 10:00am), Tuesday to Friday, (6:00am to 9:00am)
  • 2 x 16 hours permanent posts – Monday to Thursday (9:00am to 12:15pm), Friday (9:00am to 12:00pm). These posts will predominantly be based in the University’s Residences, but will from time to time be required to support cleaning activity on the main campus
