We are recruiting for the position of Team Sunderland Student Engagement Officer (SEO). This role is essential to the smooth operations of the Team Sunderland and US Active offer, that sits in the Institute of sport within the student journey service. You will be responsible for ensuring the sporting and wellness needs of students are met and assist the Institute of Sport, in improving the student experience at the University. You will assist in the delivery of the university BUCS sports programme and support with any requests for events, activities and new opportunities for students. This will involve you working closely with team Sunderland and CitySpace staff. The team is also the main link between the Student-run club committees and the team Sunderland office. You will work with the committees to ensure that they have the necessary training to run and develop their clubs.

Your role will also involve attending university events to represent the Team Sunderland offer and promote this to potential students, some of which will be organised by team Sunderland and the officer (open days, Varsity, Clash of the Minsters, Team Sunderland sports ball, etc) Within the role you will also be required to work on wider projects that will enhance the student experience, this may be within Student Journey or wider groups within the university.

This truly is a diverse, highly enjoyable role, offering fantastic experience for a recent graduate. Applicants should have good organisational skills, great communication skills and an understanding/experience of University Sport and clubs.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this role, please contact Sean Percival, Sports Development Manager via email sean.percival@sunderland.ac.uk
