We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department as an IT Apprentice.
IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has robust, reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and administration. We value and recognise our own and the contribution of others, creating a great culture to work in and a place where we all feel we belong.
The role resides in the Desktop Services Team in the Customer Services Group in IT Services and in your role as an IT Apprentice, you will assist IT Support Officers in providing 2nd level technical support to users of the Managed Desktop Service. Full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship.

About the apprenticeship
As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Basingstoke ITEC, where you will complete a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship.
For this apprenticeship, you will work within IT Services at the University in Central Oxford. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend monthly workshops with Basingstoke ITEC which will take place either virtually or in person.
In total, it will take 2 years to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and College throughout.
Becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. For more information, please visit**: https://www.apprenticeships.ox.ac.uk**
