This part-time (0.4FTE), NIHR funded post is available from 10th July 2023 on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2024,


Summary of the role

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Dr Anna Price. The successful applicant will work with a small team on the ‘Managing Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) in Primary Care’ (MAP) study, to support study activities, analyse qualitative data, help to conduct a systematic review, and write up findings.


The post will include coordination of research activities and administration, liaising with a range of stakeholders including clinicians and people with ADHD, conducting qualitative analysis, and supporting delivery of a systematic review.


About you

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.


Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.


Applicants will have a basic understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders, and be able to work with qualitative data sets, work systematically to support the delivery of a systematic review, and liaise with a range of stakeholders (including young people with ADHD) to coordinate study activities. Familiarity with NVivo and Cadima/Endnote would be an advantage.
