We currently have two Administrator positions available in the Faculty Operations Team, as detailed below:

Administrator – fixed-term; available immediately until 31st July 2024. The post is full-time but applicants who wish to work part-time (0.8 FTE or above) will also be considered (Starting salary £24,948 per annum, pro-rata on Grade D).

Administrator – fixed-term, full-time, available immediately until 31st December 2023 (Starting salary £24,948 per annum, pro-rata on Grade D).

We are operating a hybrid working model with staff alternating between working on campus (Streatham campus, Exeter) and from home.

Team

The team provides a crucial frontline support service to support the delivery of the Faculty’s strategic education, research and global ambitions and is integral to the success of the Faculty. This post will report to the Faculty Senior Administrator and initially be assigned to a specific department/portfolio to review, in line with business demands across the joint division of Education and Academic Services.

Summary of the role

This role provides essential frontline administrative support to students and academic leaders within the departments including high-quality administrative support to key departmental/local governance priorities, comprehensive diary management and meeting support; including minute-taking. The role ensures the frontline delivery of professional services in a timely manner ensuring that business is delivered to deadlines. You will be expected to be heavily involved in local themes of work including enhancing the student experience, Research Excellence Framework (REF) and Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) preparation including, but not limited to, action planning and tracking, reporting on outcomes and ensuring deadlines are met.

Contributing towards institution-wide projects, particularly the digital transformation programme, you will be involved in the design, testing and roll-out phases of specific projects acting as locality ‘champion’ and encouraging/supporting the uptake of such roll-out amongst the academic community. Given the frontline business support nature of this role, the post holder will be expected to respond to, manage and follow up on a diverse range of queries from a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a customer/end-user orientated manner.

The post holder will also assist with managing departmental social media accounts, liaising with academic staff to build a following and raise departmental profiles. This may include providing expertise and support to other disciplines.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
