The role

This position is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to act as Research Site Manager, working as part of a multidisciplinary team on a Child Public Health Trial within a leading Public Health department. Dr Ruth Kipping leads the study with collaborators at the Universities of Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and in the USA.

The post requires strong organisational and research skills to support the remainder of the study (currently in the intervention period) for nursery settings within the Swindon and Somerset area.

The tasks will include organising the recruitment of children and parents in the trial; and data collection at follow-up, which will include BMI, accelerometer, photographs of food served and consumed, nursery characteristics, nursery observations, quality of life, cost-effectiveness data and process evaluation. You will liaise closely with childcare providers and parents by email, phone and in person.
