Warehouse Supervisor – Uneek National Distribution Centre – Talbot Green
If you are an experienced supervisor or senior team leader looking for the next move and are keen to become an integral part of fast-moving warehouse environment, then we would be keen to hear from you.
The role is to assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment. Responsible for the day-to-day management of people within all warehouse functions, and to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety, Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, utilising the systems at hand (Microsoft Dynamic NAV, ERP)
- Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that meet customers timescales/requirements
- Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives
- Planning, managing, and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse
- Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction
Qualifications and Experience Levels
Essential
- Min 3 years, Experience of operating in a supervisory capacity within a fast paced, highly pressurised warehouse and distribution environment
- Able to manage teams in all aspects: discipline, attendance, performance, and welfare
- Good IT systems knowledge (WMS) and skills including MS Office suite
- Hands-on approach
- Proven track record of problem solving and adjusting shift objectives
Desirable
- Proven track record of project management or co-ordinating would be desirable
- Hold a Forklift truck licence

Hours being offered are: 11am to 8:00pm Mon – Fri & 10am to 4.30pm Sundays (Rota).
