COMPANY OVERVIEW

True Cadence CIC is a music business social enterprise based in East London. We provide age-relatable structured learning, support, mentoring and tailored artistic development to 8-25-year-olds from under-resourced communities. Our beneficiaries build skills, grow in confidence, and lessen risk-taking behaviours while realising their potential and becoming music ‘industry-ready’.

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

True Cadence is a growing non-profit organisation, supporting children and young people across East London. At True Cadence, we believe every young person deserves a chance to grow through passion. Their financial situation should never be a barrier to learning, which is why as a small organisation, we rely on the support of our community to keep going. In return, we offer learning and development opportunities, valuable insight into community project management and the opportunity to grow your network and meet new people.

WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
  • Establishing and/or maintaining active social media accounts.
  • Researching and creating creative content for different social media channels.
  • Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with local community groups
  • Keeping up to date with TC’s campaigns and promoting this across the different channels
  • Thinking of innovative ways to drive online engagement.
  • Identifying target audiences and being up to date with current trends.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You do not need to be highly experienced as training will be provided, but the following will be useful:

  • Commitment to TC’s values
  • Ability to work within TC’s policies and guidelines.
  • Good time management
  • Experience in using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • Good written communication skills, with accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Ability to think creatively when sharing content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual.
  • Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online.
  • Basic digital photography experience will be useful but not necessary.

WHAT WILL YOU GAIN FROM THIS OPPORTUNITY?

  • You will be joining our team of changemakers who live to create a better world for young creatives.
  • Your input could literally change the entire outlook for the organisation and support us in becoming more robust
  • We would be keen to offer career development and training as we grow
  • Valuable experience for those seeking a career in marketing, social media and PR
  • Being part of a friendly and diverse team
  • Give back to the community and build a sense of purpose
  • Improve your mental and physical health
  • Lunch and reasonable local travel expenses can be reimbursed in line with TC’s policy, and references can be provided to future employers.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

We will provide you with ongoing support and training throughout your volunteering:

  • Safeguarding
  • Health and Safety
  • Induction
  • Signpost to external learning opportunities
