Assistant Procurement Specialist

We have an excellent opportunity to join our Procurement Team and be involved in the full life cycle of procurement activities. You’ll be joining a friendly team, who have lots of experience to share, and have a strong work ethic. The team are responsible for the procurement and purchasing of anything and everything from large ships, Research and Development navigation programmes, or paint for our lighthouses.

If you are interested in joining our Procurement team, you will be involved in the development of procurement initiative plans, liaising with our stakeholders, supplier assessments, running tenders, assisting in improving costs, quality, and delivery. We’ll also support you towards managing high value tenders.

We are looking for someone who is interested in starting or continuing their career in procurement. You will have excellent organisation and administration skills, and attention to detail. We offer a clear career path, and we will invest in your learning and development, including supporting you towards achieving the CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply). You’ll also get an opportunity to visit some of our historic Lighthouses and Ships. We would be delighted to hear from you.
