This is a job application specification for a book-keeper within a family run business with a successful 38 year history in the printing industry.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent 0830-1730 with half hr lunch and tea breaks
Job Duties and Responsibilities (training provided where needed):
- Experienced (5 years minimum) and current user of Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll software
- Experience of using NEST pension software.
- Day to day methodical organisation and filing of Accounting & Payroll paperwork
- Bank reconciliation
- Check and marry delivery notes and invoices to Purchase order paperwork
- Entering purchase invoices onto Sage Accounting and subsequently paying the invoices
- Analysis spreadsheets of some suppliers
- Credit control chasing in overdue payments
- Assisting Admin department with various day to day tasks when needed to cover holidays
Candidate Experience:
- Experience within printing industry of benefit but not essential
- Use of Sage Accounting and Payroll software – inc knowledge of NEST pension software.
- Good understanding of organisational filing techniques
- Fluent use of Word and Excel spreadsheets inc basic formatting and formulas
- Good numerical skills
- Eligible to work in the UK

Salary: Experience and capability dependent approx. £27K + overtime opportunities + annual bonus
