Job Title - Marketing Manager (Festivals & Events)

Department & Team - Live Music and Events

Working Hours - 37.5 hrs per week including occasional evenings and weekends

Reports to - Operations Director

Works in conjunction with - Festival Directors, Live Ops and Marketing team; other departments as required

Overall Job Purpose

The Festivals & Events Marketing Manager will be responsible for shaping digital strategy, executing digital marketing plans, (including social media publishing) and overseeing non digital campaigns. This position reports to the Operations Director and serves as a key member of Team Tokyo. Responsibilities will include delivering campaigns; creating and implementing marketing plans; marketing liaison with partners, managers and artists; providing content for all Tokyo Live (festivals & events) web and social platforms. Responsible for all festivals and events within the Tokyo Live portfolio. There will inevitably be a crossover with ‘venues’ and an expectation for Marketing Managers to work together on larger scale projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build brand awareness across all markets and ensure the brand message is clear and consistent across all communications
  • Developing an appropriate tone of voice for each event within the Tokyo Live portfolio and contribute to high quality creative copy that reflects this
  • To manage the festivals & events marketing team
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of a marketing plan for all festivals and events
  • To provide detailed marketing reports and analysis for each festival and event, working closely with the Promoters to ensure that all agents receive relevant sales and promo figures
  • Working in-house or with external agencies where necessary to improve websites and the customer journey
  • To be responsible for increasing followers across all social media channels, using paid and organic ads via Facebook, Instagram etc.
  • Integrate Google ads, marketing tags/tracking pixels effectively onto Tokyo Live online platforms
  • To use advertising through specialist industry publications where relevant, effective and necessary
  • Creating newsletters and or publications which deliver informative and relevant information
  • Producing hard copy marketing materials including brochures, PDF’s, flyers and client presentations to support others within the Tokyo Live Group
  • Driving sign up to a marketable database
  • Delivering landing pages, ad copy
  • Optimising SEO of online and blog content
  • Delivering leads to ticket sales through content
  • Updating the Managing Director and or Operations Director on status of marketing initiatives and on ROI (marketing)
  • Using Google analytics to support all findings and or future campaigns
  • This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be reviewed from time to time by the Managing/Ops Director.

Person Specification

Education

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Marketing specialisation or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role

Skills

  • Strong effective communicator
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of creatives
  • Demonstrated ability of using using Google Analytics (Tracking Pixels) and Facebook Pixels
  • Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve systems and methods Expert in Internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in marketing including PR, written communication, website development, market research, Microsoft software suite of products, visual communication software products, and creative services Experience managing external PR and communication consulting firms and contractors

Terms & Conditions

Hours worked are full-time, normally based on a 37.5 hour working week; this post may involve occasional additional hours or out of hours working to accommodate the needs of the role.

The holiday entitlement for this post is 20 days pa pro rata plus bank holidays.
