As part of the supervisory team, you will be responsible for supervising the stores team and working with the stores team to ensue stock is in the correct locations and that smooth goods in and goods out process runs correctly.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively working alongside and supervise the stores team
- Deliver a high standard of administration within the team to reduce stock errors and achieve good stores order accuracy
- Ensuring all stock requirements are met and stock is stored in correct location
- Supervision of goods in/good out
- Liaising with the management team to ensure all stock requirements are met
- Managing goods in and out ensuring correct quantity and quality
- Adherence to all policies and procedures including health and safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining housekeeping
- Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
The company requires all employees to adopt a flexible approach to work and you will be required from time to time to perform other duties. We will ensure that you will be adequately trained to carry out these tasks.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Hands on materials/stores experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Management experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills and structured approach to record keeping
- IT skills including the use of tablets/computer software is essential
- Counterbalance/Reach Truck Licence is essential
- Organised, proactive and self motivated individual
- Excellent people manager skills
- Ability to ensure production output target and quality is maintained
Employee Benefits:
- Salary ranging from £38,000.00 - £40,800.00 per year (£17.72 - £18.95 per hour)
- Overtime Monday – Friday paid at 1.25 x the hourly rate
