Ramsbury Brewing and Distilling was first established in 2004 with the creation of the brewery followed in 2014 with the distillery. The brewery and Distillery are a true field to glass craft producer utilising the premium Barley and Wheat grown on the Ramsbury estate. Environmental sensitivity as well as care and attention to detail are central to our ethos and key to the creation of our premium spirits and beers.

The company has seen growth through on-line sales, wholesale relationships and distribution partnerships and is seeking an Events Manager to take this side of our business forward. We have nearly completed creation of a 200 seater multi-use space along with a Distillation School and are looking for a talented individual to shape, develop and lead these aspects along with Brewery and Distillery Tours. The role will be to drive utilisation of all these facilities and to drive sales activities and consumer engagement in our direct and indirect channels.

We are looking for a person who can integrate well into a small team and is a strong voice for the customer, building consumer advocacy, brand equity and supporting the delivery of the brand strategy.

The Role

This Role is a great opportunity to recruit, build and lead a world class operational team within an award-winning Distillery and Brewery that truly has environmental sustainability, education and Customer service at its core. Delivering seamless events and best in class Distillery / Brewery tours whilst delighting new students enrolled at our adult Gin Schools will be key to success. The role will require fiscal responsibility and organisation with a real appreciation of what superior customer satisfaction and service looks and feels like.

Detailed behind-the-scenes administration, preparation, planning and relationship building is a must for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new opportunities and events to host
  • Respond to all enquiries for events and Gin schools
  • Create and manage the event planning for clients, sponsors, and internal guests
  • Develop best practice methods to enhance the guest experience
  • Own the supplier list, ensuring rates and privileges are accurate.
  • Manage the events calendar ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Evaluate and Continually improve the guest experience and all offerings
  • Share your passion with the guests
  • Plan the successful operation of the events area in collaboration with relevant department heads.
  • Manage the production and distribution of the weekly function sheets. Lead weekly briefing meeting with internal departments and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure company accounting policies are adhered to, Invoices are raised in a timely manner.
  • Own and deliver KPI’s for the Events Business.
  • Own and create all appropriate Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that the operation is in accordance with current practice, management, and measurement of all areas of responsibility including health & safety, food hygiene, fire regulations, licensing laws, and trading standards.

The ideal candidate will already have plenty of experience in planning, coordinating and managing events, but we will also consider candidates from other high pressure, deadline driven and customer facing environments or who have a demonstrable drive and passion for our business.

This is a full time, permanent job with a working pattern that reflects the business we are in. You will be available to work weekends if required and there may be some long days. But during the week when there is no events or tours we can be flexible in the days/times worked and it is certainly possible to do some of the work from home. We have exciting plans for our venue and so there is a brilliant opportunity to help shape the future.

We are offering a salary of between £25’000 - £32’000 depending on experience and the expectation is a nominal 40 hour week with Pension and 28 days holiday.
