Counsellor, Psychotherapist or CBT Therapist

The Edinburgh Counselling Service is looking to hire another self-employed counsellor, psychotherapist or CBT therapist. The candidate would be required to work from our city-centre office located at Citibase, 1 St Colme Street. Interviews will take place on a rolling basis. The anticipated start date is flexible, although we anticipate that it will be June or July 2023.

The successful candidate would be provided with client referrals as well as a comfortable working environment including reception, administrative support, a lovely counselling room, therapeutic tools, tea and coffee.

This role would pay £40 an hour for individual counselling, and £55 per hour for couples/ family counselling. Working hours are approximately 9am to 2:30pm.

We are looking for counsellors to work a mixture of the following:

• Monday AM (9am to 2:30pm)
• Tuesday AM (9am to 2:30pm)
• Wednesday AM (9am to 2:30pm)
• Wednesday PM (3pm-8pm)
• Thursday AM (9am to 2:30pm)
• Sundays (flexible working times)

Counsellors are able to choose when they would wish to work during these timeslots. There is a possibility that more shifts would become available in the future.
