About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently working in a project support or administration role and looking to take the next step towards a career in project management. This role will provide project planning, coordination and delivery support for an ambitious programme of major collection moves at the British Museum’s Bloomsbury estate and outstations, in accordance with the Museum’s collection storage and care strategies.

Key areas of responsibility:

In this role you will work closely with the Programme Manager for Collection Projects in the planning, coordination and delivery of the major collection move programme across the British Museum Bloomsbury estate and outstations. This will include supporting the development and monitoring of all areas of project activity, including business case development, planning, budget management, risk management, contract management, stakeholder management and procurement. You will manage programme and project documentation (e.g. reports, schedules, risk and issue registers), and be responsible for maintaining accurate records on shared drives, electronic filing and version control. Timely communication and positive stakeholder engagement will be key to the success of this programme.

About you:

The successful candidate will be a University graduate or equivalent with proven project coordination, organisational and administrative experience. You will have the ability to prioritise, require minimal supervision, and be capable of delivering under pressure. As well as confidently communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
