Claims Handlers (Motor and Settlement Teams)
Do you enjoy problem-solving and getting creative to find solutions for customers? We’re looking for Claims Handlers to join our friendly and growing team at Tesco Bank in our Insurance business area.
Newcastle: This role is based in our Newcastle site in Quorum, Longbenton with hybrid working available, meaning you’ll get the best of both worlds with a balance of both office and homeworking.

The Role:
You’ll manage a portfolio of claims as efficiently as possible, providing a high standard of service to our Insurance Customers.
Not only will you have excellent communication skills to help customers, you’ll develop relationships with colleagues and third-party representatives - insurers, solicitors, credit hire companies and suppliers.
Our Motor and Claims Settlement Management Team are a welcoming and supportive group, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to succeed in your new role!
It’s important to demonstrate an ability to make decisions and take ownership for them. You must be able to show empathy and resilience when dealing with difficult and challenging situations involving our customers. You will always maintain a sensitive, caring and professional approach.
There is a lot of freedom to manage your own case workload and use your best judgement to provide a quality service for customers.
You’ll need:
Claims experience (or motor insurance/broker experience)- Good negotiation skills
- Complaint handling skills and resilience
- Common sense approach
- Administration skills – working with systems on a PC.
