Always leading and developing our yachts. Technical and design excellence has always been fundamental to the very fabric of being a leading yacht manufacturer. Extensive new product development plans will double the Sunseeker range to 22 models by the end of 2023.

In an era of digital production and automated assembly, we stay committed to creating hand-built, hand-finished boats. With a workforce of c.2000 Team Members, the hustle and bustle of the Shipyards and its large hourly paid workforce, is a place like no other. With long serving employees and over 150 apprentices in training, the workforce can feel like a true reflection of the local community.

We are now seeking a talented and virtuous Head of IT, to lead and transform Sunseeker’s technology framework that our committed and skilled staff rely on to deliver their objectives for our customers.

With a highly committed and capable IT team in place, the Head of IT will have the envious opportunity of bringing technology innovation to Sunseeker within a well governed, but flat hierarchy landscape. This is not a caretaking role.

Summary Areas of Responsibility

• Design and deliver an IT programme that supports the business strategy and work closely with the Sunseeker Executive Team to ensure the strategy remains aligned to business goals

• 
  Improve and enable the use of technology to contribute to efficient working practice and added value to the existing business model

• 
  Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day IT operations and systems development. Ensuring robust, well maintained and supported IT systems including devices, networks, infrastructure, and cyber security are in place
  

• Propose, negotiate and monitor appropriate IT Opex and Capex budgets

• 
  Assume operational responsibility for Sunseeker’s ERP, MRP, PLM and MES systems and manage the relationship with key strategic partners

• 
  Provide leadership & line management to the highly capable 15 person IT team

What you will need to be considered

• IT leadership experience within a manufacturing organisation
• Expert knowledge of MRP / ERP systems, particularly SAP and Salesforce
• Demonstrable capability with strategic technology planning
• Evidence of your ability to work across a matrix of technology compartments comprising; applications, operations, infrastructure, service desks, business systems and MRP/ERP solutions
• Flexible and adaptive. Able to deal effectively with complexity, uncertainty and ambiguity
• An empathetic and approachable leadership style with credibility that is not simply a function of age
• High professional and personal standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Unquestionable personal and professional integrity
