Our staff are skilled, high performing and committed to our learners and we now wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Taking Teaching Further Trainee in Performing Arts who wishes to engage in a teacher training programme to enable the successful applicant to share their industry skills and expertise with our learners.


An exciting opportunity to work in an innovative department in the Performing and Production Arts area of the college, and to welcome an industry professional into the world of teaching. Time for the key individual to give back to the community, inspire the younger generation and help develop the future professionals and performers of the sector, in addition to gaining a teaching qualification.


The Taking Teaching Further programme is a national initiative to attract experienced industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills to work in Further Education (FE). The successful candidate will be employed by Stockton Riverside College group and will be fully supported to develop the skills required to successfully achieve a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training within two years of the commencement of their post.


The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience within the Performing Arts sector with at least 18 months professional practice, and have a high level of drive and enthusiasm which is essential to effectively support learners in their journey towards learning and developing their skills.
