Biomedical Scientist – Multi-discipline

Biomedical Scientist | Blood Sciences | Up to starting point of band 6 – equivalent salary| Permanent – 37.5 hours |Spire Montefiore Hove | Training and development opportunities

Working within the small lab team, processing samples from the Montefiore Hospital, and referring blood transfusion Histology, Microbiology, and esoteric testing to Spires Hub labs or external providers. Training will be given as such can consider someone newly qualified into this position.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be part of an experienced and supportive pathology team working within a state-of-the-art lab

• Plan, analyse, assess and report pathology investigations
• Analyse, interpret and report information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts
• Develop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens, blood and tissues
• Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measuring and monitoring pathology investigations

Who we're looking for

• Must hold a degree in Biomedical Sciences and have experience within biochemistry and or haematology
• Have current HCPC registration
• Ideally Minimum of 1 years post qualifying experience
