The Role
As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and packaging of ingredients in a food safe environment, ensuring Food, Environment Health & Safety and Quality standards are maintained and production targets are met. You will be based in various commercial kitchens in and around Bristol. This role is part-time and on a self-employed contract.
What You'll Be Doing
- Portioning and packing dry and fresh ingredients into recipe boxes.
- Receiving, checking, and sampling of ingredients from our suppliers.
- Working within the company policies/procedures and to ensure individual and collective Health & Safety is achieved.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Ensuring the accuracy of each customer order.
- Working with other team members to ensure an efficient packaging process.
- Checking and recording data in relation to production and customer orders accurately.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required
- Experience working in a food environment
- Enthusiastic, with a keen interest of food packaging
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic numeracy and English Language skills
- Ability to stand and undertake some manual handling/bending.
Desirable qualities
- Knowledge of food handling and allergen controls
- Experience working with food suppliers
What You’ll Get
- 8 - 10 hour shifts
- £10.20 -12.40 per hour ( part-time and self-employed)
