The Role
Working as part of the Sport Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring we are operating to deliver an excellent service for all our stakeholders.
Experienced in managing and leading people, making data driven decisions, effective budget management and an excellent communicator you will be required to:
- Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of Sport Hallam programmes and services in line with the University strategic aims.
- Bring our facilities and services to life, through the oversight of Sport Hallam’s Marketing and Communication plans.
- To lead and manage a small team of Sport Administrators to achieve their objectives and ensure support needs are met.
- Managing multiple priorities, build positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues and contribute to a can-do culture.
This role is ideal for someone who thinks logistically, likes to plan, analyse and evaluate what we do and why, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone with a passion for service delivery and a commitment to making a difference through physical activity and sport.
The Team
Sheffield Hallam University is looking for a selection of passionate and dedicated sport professionals to join our expanding Physical Activity and Sport Service – Sport Hallam.
We are recruiting a number of roles across our service to strengthen our sporting offer and the impact we make on our students, staff and local community. These roles span across our Sport Development, Sport Operations and Sport Leadership teams.
- Our Sport Development Team is responsible for developing a range of sports programmes, activities, and events to help deliver an outstanding student experience, from beginners right through to elite athletes.
- Our Sport Operations Team is responsible for delivering a quality user experience across our sport facility portfolio that includes our Sports Park, Athletics Stadium and two on campus gyms and sports halls.
- Our Sport Leadership Team is responsible for driving service success, working collaboratively across the whole department to ensure high quality outputs.
You’ll join a large and dynamic team, where you’ll work with a wide range of people to create and deliver a diverse variety of opportunities, services and facilities to enable our students, staff and local community to positively connect with sport and physical activity, be active and support their wellbeing - with opportunities for development and progression.
