As an Associate Director within the Sustainability Business division you will be a part of the UK&I team which is not only the leading sales organization within our global market place but also one of the fastest growing, innovative and dynamic teams within the Schneider Electric Group. In this position you will be leading the commercial engagement with UK&I multinational organizations. You’ll be part of an organisation that thrives not only on creating strategic vision but really driving the solution for the client across a multitude of decarbonisation levers.

Your responsibilities


  • Have 5+ year experience working in the sustainability consulting space with a focus towards the large energy using segments. Knowledge of the key challenges and drivers specifically in the ESG & climate space is essential. Experience working at senior executive level is important.


  • Have a consultative approach with customers. You will recognize and articulate appropriate approaches to address the client needs and enhance and communicate Schneider’s strengths in a way that meets customer needs and differentiate us from the competition.

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of ESG, sustainability & climate related topics such as:
    • Net Zero and associated key drivers
    • Sustainability & climate related strategy; from early development to execution of said strategy.
    • Strong grounding in ESG, energy & sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (SBTi, EED, TCFD, CSRD, etc.)
    • Have experience in developing and/or deploying energy/carbon/tech decarbonization solutions across scope 1, 2 & 3.

  • Strong focus on business development to generate business leads, develop a pipeline, scope complex and ambitious strategic decarbonization solutions and ultimately win new deals business in line with organizational objectives. A track record of successfully winning new business is required.

  • Collaborate
    with multiple sales teams, consulting teams, solution architects and marketing teams in order to execute and orchestrate customer solutions. This will also include mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial sales team.

  • To support the development and execution of our go to market strategy with the leadership team in EMEA and with counterparts globally.

  • Be prepared to undertake national and international travel within EU

Qualifications:

About you

  • We are looking for an ambitious and driven candidate with a proven sales track record in consultancy, developing new opportunities and delivering new business.

  • Previous experiences in consultative selling and services industry (sustainability, efficiency, renewables and/or energy strategy)

  • Strong proven track record of developing large accounts with a view to growing and expanding business opportunities.

  • Nurturing experience, demonstrating a track record of consistently achieving sales targets in a high-pressure environment.


  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Any additional language is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment, CRM systems (salesforce.com or equivalent).

  • Personal qualities such as: self-driven, autonomous, collaborative, communicable, influential, perseverant, reliable, direct, curious and creative.
