SEO Trainee

We are looking for an SEO Trainee to join our award-winning team and kick start their career in digital marketing. This position would be to start in May 2023.

Joining SALT.agency as an SEO trainee is an excellent first step in starting your marketing career. A traineeship with us typically lasts 6 months, where you will be trained by industry leading experts.

What to expect as an SEO trainee

• You will be provided with innovative training throughout your traineeship
• The first 3 weeks you will work solely with a trainer who will teach you the basics of SEO and teach you all the skills you will need to succeed in SEO
• After your initial training, you will have a chance to experience the different pathways in SEO and find the right one for you
• In each of the pathways, you will be given tasks to test your knowledge and SEO skills
• You will meet regularly with your trainer to talk about your workload and fill knowledge gaps

Daily activities

After you have completed your training, you will be assisting the team with

• Keyword research
• Content creation
• Auditing websites
• Competitor and market analysis
• Reporting on data from Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Meetings with your supervisor and team
• Building client relationships
• Completing tasks to aid your training

Responsibilities

As an SEO Trainee you will have quite a unique role. You will be given clear activities and targets to achieve whilst you are here to pass you traineeship.

Your main responsibility will be managing your workload and time. You will need to be willing to learn, passionate about having a career in SEO, and show that you are worth your salt.

Will I just be given the tasks senior staff members do not want to do?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Your time here is to get you excited about having a career in SEO. We will give you a broad range of tasks to complete to challenge you. We want to see you go the distance in your career.

What happens after I complete my traineeship?

After you complete the SEO Trainee programme, you will be able to join our team as an SEO Executive and start working with our amazing portfolio of clients.

You will still receive frequent training and be supported in becoming a well-rounded SEO Executive. You will be provided with clear development plans and coached into furthering your career as a Senior SEO Executive and then an SEO Consultant.

Is this role office based?

This role is completely office based during your traineeship. You would be working at our state-of-the-art office in Horsforth.

After completing your traineeship, options for hybrid working will become available at the discretion of your manager.

Salary: £20,000.00 per year
