Full Job Description
Royal Blue Healthcare are recruiting a Principal Psychologist to work in our clients multi-disciplinary team in the Solihull, Coventry area.
This position is at our clients health rehabilitation service which caters for a male and females aged 18 with severe and enduring mental illness, which might include treatment resistant conditions.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and services overall framework.
- Co-ordinate delivery of psychological assessment and intervention from other psychology staff.
- Provide Reflective Practice for Staff.
- Facilitate staff training in line with the agreed psychology provision as required.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based practices, strategies and policies.
- Conduct research, service evaluation and audit as appropriate.
- Develop own skills and experience as a psychologist.
- Maintain record of supervision and development in accordance with HCPC CPD guidelines.
Role Requirements:
- HCPC registration.
- 4+ years post registration experience.
- Supervisory / management experience or assistants or trainees.
- Understand the basic principles of rehabilitation and recovery orientated practice.
- Understand CBT psychosis.
- Familiar with family interventions, structured psychological interventions for bipolar affective disorder and high intensity psychological interventions for depression – CBT, IPT.
- Competent with positive behavioural support and wellness recovery action plans.
- Strong communication skills.
