The CAD Design Technician role:
As CAD Design Technician, you will become a key member of our busy design team and provide fast and accurate solutions and hands on support to our customers to help them achieve the necessary energy targets from the proposed PV solar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Learn about domestic Solar PV design from basic to complex levels
+ Plan tasks and track work using our CRM software
+ Read and interpret documents to determine solar targets
+ Use AutoCad to view construction drawings and add PV panel designs
+ Populate project spreadsheet and design document to match drawings
+ Carry out internal quality checks on drawings from the other CAD Team members
+ Discuss design scope and seek approvals with client
+ Coordinate work with the Sales, Technical and Operations departments
+ Issue finalised designs and site plans for our clients and for our installation teams
+ Manage version control on drawings
+ Ensure the upkeep of the design library
+ Maintain high attention to detail on all documents and designs
+ Attend training sessions
About you:

Vocational competencies:
+ Can-do work ethic and an aptitude for problem solving
+ Experience dealing with customers
+ Confident using Excel
+ Decent maths skills with knowledge of trigonometry
+ Some experience of AutoCAD software and Project Management skills would be advantageous but not essential

+ A general understanding of how things work and grasp basic technical concepts (although specific training will be given)
