Goods In Operative

PVC Building Supplies is an independent Plumbing & Heating merchant, privately owned and established in 1973. We are looking to recruit new Goods-In operatives for our expanding business. We are currently running out of two depots with the review to open depot three & four in 2023. Our busy warehouses never stops running 21 hours a day and we rely on every single employee to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This is a role for fast thinkers and through our training you’ll be giving instructions to put stock away in the correct bin location and help unload deliveries on a daily basis. Main Duties:

• Manual Handling
• Stock Checks
• Checking customers’ orders
• Use of Reach counterbalance ( After Training)
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Reliable and on time
• Pick a variety of different plumbing products
• Making sure the vehicles are perfectly loaded and made secure
• Take responsibility for working through your orders independently
• Help with any team tasks, such as cleaning equipment and checking stock
• Adhere to all H&S regulations

What you’ll need:

• Good with working within a team or on your own
• Good attention to detail when working under pressure
• Willingness to work with all different types of stock
• Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your abilities
• Some experience of working in a fast-paced driven environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,200.00-£26,200.00 per year
