Job Title: Babysitter/Nanny (French Speaking Preferred)

Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible and nurturing individual to join our family as a Babysitter/Nanny. This position involves providing attentive and reliable care for our two girls during the afternoons, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, possess excellent communication skills, and prioritize the safety and well-being of our children above all else. Fluency in French would be a bonus.

Responsibilities:

Childcare: Provide attentive and compassionate care for our two girls, aged [insert ages], ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness at all times.

Supervision: Monitor and supervise the children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and security.

Engage in Activities: Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, reading, arts and crafts, and educational games to promote their intellectual, emotional, and physical development.

Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Homework Support: Assist with homework assignments, provide guidance, and offer support to encourage their learning and academic development.

Routine Establishment: Follow the established daily routine, including nap times, meal times, and recreational activities, to provide structure and stability for the children.

Light Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in areas used by the children, such as play areas, bedrooms, and kitchen, ensuring a safe and organized environment.

Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the parents, reporting any concerns, incidents, or updates regarding the children's behavior, health, or overall well-being.

Transportation: Occasionally accompany the children to and from extracurricular activities, playdates, or appointments, ensuring their safety during transportation.

Emergency Preparedness: Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures, including basic first aid and CPR, and respond appropriately in case of accidents or emergencies.

French Language Support: If fluent in French, provide language support by conversing with the children in French and incorporating French language activities into their daily routine.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in childcare, babysitting, or working as a nanny is preferred.

Childcare Skills: Possess a deep understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.

French Speaking: Fluency in French would be a bonus, as the ability to converse with the children in French and incorporate the language into their activities is desired.

Responsible and Reliable: Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility in all aspects of the job.

Trustworthiness: Exhibit a high level of integrity and maintain confidentiality regarding family matters.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and other household staff.

Patience and Adaptability: Display patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in challenging situations.

Safety Consciousness: Prioritize the safety and well-being of the children, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and maintain a structured environment.

Physical Fitness: Possess the energy and physical stamina to actively engage with the children and participate in recreational activities.

Valid CPR and First Aid Certification: Preferred, but not required. Willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 4 hours of work per day in the afternoons, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our family, contributing to the growth, happiness, and well-being of our children.
