Premier Foods Finance Graduate Scheme 2023
Finance Graduate | St Albans | Permanent | Starting at £30K + Benefits
We’re looking for outstanding graduates to join our 3 year development programme, with the drive and passion to make a difference to our business, and who have the potential to become our future leaders.
Finance is a critical function driving the business forward, with rotations spanning business partnering our operating segments including Marketing, Commercial, International, Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics and more central roles within FP&A and our Shared Service centre. These various roles will span Manchester, St Albans and one of our Manufacturing/Logistics sites (normally Stoke or Lutterworth)–The scheme is designed to give the individuals the right foundation and breadth in finance. You will be part of driving business performance, providing insightful information to enable informed, timely and agile decision making across the business and to maintain strong financial control across the Group.
Following a 4 week induction programme which will include 1-2 weeks based at one of our factories to understand all about Food Manufacturing, you'll work closely within the finance team you have been assigned, on a structured development programme across 3, one year placements.
Your first role is likely to be based in Manchester or one of other UK based sites

During the scheme you will attend various off-job training courses that will support your personal development
You will receive regular reviews and feedback from your line manager - all to help you learn and develop
You will work alongside some experienced finance professionals and learn on-the-job all of our processes and ways and working. You will be given early responsibility which will give you exposure to key business activity
At the end of the scheme, we will continue to support your career progression and development, the pace of which will be dictated by two things – your personal capability and potential and the right opportunity becoming available

To take ownership for your own learning and show commitment to the scheme and to the role you perform
Team player – we are all in it together here at Premier Foods
We operate Hybrid working. This means working part of the week in the office and part of the week at home (you can work 5 days in the office if you want to), but this is not a full-time homeworking role
Our graduates play a role in supporting our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy, primarily around being charity/volunteering champions
Do you offer…?
3 A Levels – minimum of 280 UCAS points gained
Degree qualified (Finance / Accounting, Economics, Maths, Engineering preferred but not essential) 2:1 minimum achieved (or expected)
An understanding of the UK FMCG/Retail sectors
The permanent right to work in the UK and English speaking
Your base likely will be Manchester to start with, then St Albans (AL1 2RE) or another Manufacturing site, and you will need to be prepared to relocate here: you may be required to spend time in other locations with overnight stays
Prepared to study towards CIMA/ACCA
