We are looking for professional, caring and passionate carers to join the team in our beautiful care home in Tonbridge.
About you
Cheerful, outgoing and compassionate by nature, we are looking for someone who is naturally caring and has a genuine enthusiasm for the people we support. The ideal person will be a happy and helpful! Well organised and competent carer with current experience and knowledge of older people. Experience within a care home environment is helpful not essential, but the commitment to older people living well is integral to our philosophy and therefore will also be a strong attribute of the ideal candidate. Computer literacy, reading, writing and communicating clearly in English will be essential along with a real desire to develop and progress professionally, and work within a happy team to provide excellence in person centred care.
About the role
Tonbridge House Care Home provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for the elderly. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be part of a team, responsible for planning and organising excellent patient care that supports independence, adding value to life and not just life to years. Your role will be to enhance the lives, and improve the holistic wellbeing of our residents, through delivery of person focussed care as devised with residents’ families and seniors, through assessment and prevention methods for acute and chronic disease management. You will spend time getting to know our residents and their families and deliver the person-centred care that is of paramount importance to Porthaven.
We offer a starting salary of £9.75 and hour dependant on qualification and experience and a full training programme including ongoing professional development.
Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check, and candidates must be authorised to work in the EU.
