Cleaner (Part Time 16-20 hours per week)

The following sets out your general duties and you may be requested to carry out duties that are not set out within this job description. Your duties may change from time to time in order to meet the requirements of the business.

Responsible for: Ensuring all areas are clean and tidy at all times.
Responsible to: Supervisors & Managers

As a cleaner you will be interacting with customers and other staff members including Management. Your main aim is to ensure that all areas are clean and tidy at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities
You are responsible for implementing the “daily cleaning schedule” and having it signed off daily by the duty manager.

1. You will be responsible for ensuring all toilets are checked and stocked every hour.

2. Ensure that tables are cleared, wiped down and bins emptied when required.

3. You will be required to litter pick and sweep all areas throughout your shift.

4. Be polite and courteous at all times to the general public.

5. Ensure you are aware of any facility /product information as customers may ask you.

6. You will also be responsible for assisting staff and management with regard to any fire evacuations. (as and when required)

7. Cleaning all offices, vacuuming and dusting as required.

8. You will make sure that you attend your shift at all times in a well presented manner and wear the company uniform (if issued) while on duty.

9. You must attend all staff training session scheduled

10. You will complete any specific cleaning daily/weekly check sheets.

11. Before completing any jobs involving chemicals you must ensure all COSHH training has been completed and signed off by a Manager.

There may be times when you are required to undertake duties and responsibilities within other departments to assist in the smooth running of the operation.

Hours of Work
This is a part time role where the successful applicant can expect to work around 16-20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours during school holidays and when covering annual leave.
