Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Travel and Tourism Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to promote Birmingham as a vibrant and exciting destination for tourists and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract visitors to Birmingham.
Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including local businesses, tourism boards, and government agencies.
Monitor and analyse visitor trends, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Manage budgets and resources to achieve targets and objectives.
Lead and motivate a team of professionals to ensure high standards of performance and delivery.
Build and maintain positive relationships with the media and other external organisations.
Proven experience in a senior management role within the visitor economy industry.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Knowledge of the visitor economy industry, including tourism, hospitality, and events.
Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively with others, build and maintain effective relationships, and achieve results through teamwork.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision making.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
