Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are working with a fantastic SEN secondary school in the London Borough of Redbridge who are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school caters for students between 11-19 with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated complex needs.

You can be assured that you will be welcomed into an inclusive and supportive family-like team, and surrounded by multi-disciplinary professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Specialists and Play/Art/Music Therapists. Everyone is encouraged and supported to develop to their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you must have experience supporting students with ASD, SLCN, and associated complex needs. The Teaching Assistant will be flexible and resilient and can build/maintain relationships whilst enforcing boundaries and managing behaviours.
You must be able to support with personal care, including feeding, toileting, gastrostomy care, moving & handling and other personal hygiene.
