About The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • producing descriptive and predictive reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings as appropriate.
  • Assist with the design of testing protocol to be able to better model the biologicals responses.
  • Carry out research activity in line with defined research plan objectives, including recording results of own and team research where appropriate.
  • Identify and disseminate relevant information to the research team and communicate with internal and external contacts as appropriate.
  • performing sequencing experiments, collect, analyse and be involved in the interpretation of the data.

About You

Our research group covers a range of areas spanning human, animal and environmental medicine and combining interdisciplinary approaches to deliver clinically-actionable solutions to real-world problems. We currently have two postdoctoral staff, a research assistant and nine PhD students working within the group. This opportunity is for a motivated and interdisciplinary colleague to join our diverse team. We are looking for an experienced scientist in genomics and data science to support our delivery of our ambitious research in human and animal medicine, working with some of the top industry leaders in combining genomics and multiomic approaches to deliver real-world impact to patients. Our new colleague will be a seasoned genomics scientist with experience of Oxford Nanopore technologies and a proven track record in solving problems in data science across healthcare.
