We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to become part of our senior leadership teams as joint Assistant Chief Officer for Corporate Services for North Yorkshire Police (NYP), North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services (NYFRS) and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire (OPFCC).
Our resident and visiting communities have access to over 800 tourist attractions, the dramatic North Yorkshire coastline, moors and dales national parks, historic market towns and larger urban centres such as the cities of York, Harrogate and Scarborough. These communities expect us to protect people and property from harm and keep them safe.
As our joint Assistant Chief Officer for Corporate Services, you will become part of ambitious and engaged senior teams who are committed to meeting the expectations of these communities by providing exceptional services to those who need us.
Recent HMICFRS inspections have identified challenges in the way our collaborated enabling services had been provided. Over the last year, we have embarked on an ambitious improvement journey to ensure these functions are providing efficient and effective support to operational colleagues.
You will continue on this journey towards excellence by listening to our people, working in partnership and driving change with exceptional vision, determination and resilience. You will lead with confidence and help shape our Force and Service into organisations in which people thrive.
You will bring extensive experience in delivering successful professional corporate services in a multi-agency environment. You have a strong understanding of commercial management to help us achieve better value for money from third party contracts, and have a demonstrable track record of inspiring a capable workforce to deliver tangible performance improvement.
