About the Trust

NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the local NHS organisation that plans and oversees how NHS money is spent and makes sure health services work well and are of high quality.

The ICB’s role is to join up health and care services, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Coordinates administrative services, including the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.

· Provides a high quality and comprehensive support service to the function.

· Participates in projects for the organisation as required.

· Provide HR advice, support and information to managers and staff on the interpretation and implementation of ICB policies and national guidelines, for handling complex and sensitive issues in a range of HR matters as required. This will include disciplinary, grievance, bullying & harassment, absence management, capability, organisational change and agenda for change issues, taking due regard of statutory obligations.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills.

· Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise.

· Experience of advising managers on a range of HR issues, including absence management.

· Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis.

· Day-to-day experience in using Microsoft Office applications (inc. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint).
