Whether it's running food to and from tables, or handling enquiries, servers are at the heartbeat of a successful service and are partly responsible for the smooth transition between each table turn. The server is the individual who will have the most impact and influence on the guest experience within the restaurant, and it’s their rapport that can quickly build a lasting relationship, creating continuous repeat business. The guests rely heavily on a server knowledge, to guide them towards the best food suggestions and drinks pairings suited to their needs. With an innate passion for hospitality, you are experts sales people and can spot an opportunity to add value from a mile away.
Whilst servers manage the food and drink journey too and from our guests, they must also keep check on the runners, and work closely with other departments keeping a close eye on potential risks to the guest experience. Effective communication and cooperation between every department makes proactively managing expectations that much easier.
