The diversity and quality of expertise within the consultancy will enable our properties and places to benefit from an extraordinary range of creative and innovative thinking, as well as deep expertise in all matters relating to our twin purpose of caring for the nation’s heritage and landscapes and making them accessible to all.

What you'll be doing:You'll support marketing & communication colleagues within the internal consultancy, and with properties, to help raise awareness of our places and their relevance to people and our conservation cause.

You'll be planning, creating, editing, proof-reading, co-ordinating and collating content for offline and online channels. You’ll work on our website and support our social media activity. Your work will also include developing creative, including copy and image selection for ATL campaigns, using our template system. You’ll work on some of our annual print marketing items. Although you won’t design or be a photographer, an interest in these areas will help you support your marketing colleagues more effectively.

You’ll help to evaluate and plan our activity by gathering analytics and other data on a regular basis. You’ll coordinate and gather information on what our places are offering to visitors on a seasonal basis.

You’ll help us communicate with and support our property colleagues, when we are updating and sharing information with them, running training for them and planning marketing activity together.

Who we're looking forThis is an exciting role if you have marketing and communications experience and are looking to develop your career with a high-profile organisation. To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Some understanding of marketing and communications across local and regional print, broadcast, digital and social media channels
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written which should include copywriting and proof-reading and re-purposing content for different channels.
  • Experience and confidence with web CMS and social media platforms
  • Experience creating content that adheres to National Trust brand standards and values.
  • The ability to identify on-brand images and an interest to learn about photography from the perspective of brand and quality standards and GDPR compliance.
  • Ability to extract and collate analytics and other data.
  • Experience of working in communications, marketing or media environment and supporting the delivery of marketing and communications plans.
  • Demonstrable consulting skills of listening, building trust and acting to deliver high quality service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills and the ability to work at pace and adhere to tight deadlines.
