Job description
Situated on the outskirts of Barnsley, the newly refurbished Tankersley Manor Hotel & Spa boasts 98 bedrooms, a spectacular alfresco tipi dining concept, the Brasserie restaurant & bar operation plus numerous function facilities for events and weddings. Located within a 15-minute drive from Sheffield, this fabulous property really is the hotel of choice for weddings & events in South Yorkshire & surrounding areas.
We are looking for enthusiastic & hard working individuals to join our friendly sales team. We are looking for a passion for customer service, an eye for detail & drive to ensure the smooth running of events within the hotel.
You will be required to deal with clients from the initial show around or enquiry through to the arrangement, coordination & efficient handover to our Operations team of the final event.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking sales enquiries & converting these into confirmed bookings
- Proactive sales calling
- Maintain an up to date database & chase system
- Process relevant correspondence, marketing & carry out face to face appointments
- You must be able to pro-actively identify the customer’s needs, build relationships & deliver customer service with a big smile!

Opera PMS / Opera S&C trained users would be preferable, however not necessary. Friendly personality & a can-do attitude are compulsory.
