Band 4/5 Biomedical Scientists - Histopathology

The Biomedical Science team at Maxxima are recruiting two Band 4 or 5 Biomedical Scientists in Histopathology to work in a busy NHS Hospital in London between Monday- Friday 8:30- 5 pm. We are looking for biomedical scientists who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's cellular histopathology service.

Position: x2 Biomedical Scientist
Banding: 4 or 5
Location: London
Hours: Full-time
Duration: 3 months

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in histopathology, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy able to cut over 30 blocks and hour to a high standard; alongside having experience in embedding and staining. On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:

• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratory experience
• Experience in Microtomy, special stains, quality checking of slides, IHC, fixed specimen transfers
